I have a buddy that I went to high school with who has recently found his way back in to the hobby. Lately, Duston H. has been on a retail kick – buying the 2010 Topps Value like you see below along with blasters of Topps 2010, 2010 Allen & Ginter and others.
By now, everyone knows that the big selling point on these boxes is the chance to pull 1 of 3 exclusive chrome refractor cards including Stephen Strasburg, Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken Jr. My buddy Duston actually pulled the Strasburg refractor in the first box he bought, so he had decided to buy another one and was going to attempt to put together the 3 card set. I ran by his place last night and he was in the process of opening the box up. As he was telling me about what he was wanting to pull – he laughed and said “Got another Strasburg – you want it?”
