Ok by now most of you are familiar with some of the issues and reviews that people have posted about this product. Some like it, others could no doubt do without it. Either way, here we go.
The “regular” base card. I pulled 27 of these in my box including the Jr. pictured below.
The regular rookie card looks very similar, I pulled 18 of these.
Next up we have the 2004 UD Timeless team cards. I think I like this design the most.
I pulled 18 of these and wish I had more. I really like the overall design of this card and I love how the back includes a picture of the teams stadium.
Up next we have the 1994 Upper Deck All-Time Heroes inserts. There are a couple versions of this insert with one having a gold foil UD stamp in the top left hand corner.
I only pulled one of these gold foil stamped versions but I did manage to pull 18 of the “regular” 1994 Upper Deck All-Time Heroes inserts.
Next we’ll take a look at the
1995 SP Top Prospects inserts. I pulled 18 of these in my box.
Keeping with the 1995 theme we have the 1995 SP Rookie Card insert as well. I pulled 3 of these in my box including the Buchholz pictured below.
Continuing our travels back in time we will take a look at the 1994 SP Rookie Card inserts next. I pulled 4 of these in my box.
Another throwback insert is the 1993 SP Rookie Card insert. I pulled 6 of these from my box and off all the inserts I think the 93/94 are my least favorite. I do not like the mirror finish on these cards. It has to make it near impossible to find one w/0 any chipping.
The last throwback insert we have is the 1992 Minor League Set inserts. I pulled 17 of these inserts with one double.
That concludes our travels back in time. What do you think about having all the “old school” inserts in this set? I have mixed feelings about it. One the one hand it would be nice to see some new fresh designs but on the other its nice to have a product highlight some of their popular designs.
There are also some parallels in this set. There are gold versions of the “regular” base card as well gold parallels for the “regular” rookie cards.
That leaves us with the Auto’s and the YSL inserts. I didn’t post the YSL inserts – if you don’t know what those look like just check out some of my other busts. I pulled 5 by the way. As for the AUTO’s – I pulled 3 out of this box – beating the odds just slightly.
The 3rd AUTO I pulled
NO idea who it is. UD says the card will arrive in approx. 12-16 weeks. Obviously with pulling a case hit and only one double its hard to complain about this box. With a current price tag of under $30.00 – its definitely something to consider with all the lackluster releases so far this year.

I really wanted to like this set, but Upper Deck blew it with all of the damaged cards, designs that were used in the previous year’s SP Rookie Edition and tons of autographs that rate below a common. Congrats on your cut signature pull. Here’s the list of possible cut signatures:

It looks like there are some good ones in there.
I had a couple chipped cards and a few with roller marks but again for the price point it is at now – its tough to beat. Thanks for the link btw.
True. For that price, the beautiful Timeless Teams cards are almost worth it on their own.
I sent all of the 95 SP Prospect cards back to UD for replacement just for the hell of it to see what happened. No loss if I don’t get them back because they’re pretty mangled to begin with.
Something like this would probably be really fun to bust a cheap case of. You get a redemption, probably a couple of decent autographs and might even come close to one set. I think there’s a Strassberg Auto in this set and you can turn that around for big money at the moment.
Hated the one pack of this I opened back in the day, but for the price it is now, it might be worth it for all the potential Fukudomes lol.
